KCDA is a community of concerned pet owners united in the pursuit of political, legislative and education initiatives that improve the lives of pets and ensure the rights responsible pet owners.

KCDA is currently working on getting political stances from area politicians. While there several area cities with elections, many, like Mission, Olathe and Overland Park, have very few (if any) contested races. Our hope is that more residents will step up and run for offices in these cities (particularly in Overland Park) in future elections.
However, Kansas City and Raytown, MO has some great candidates running for office and we're busy gathering responses to our questionaire for KCMO. You can see the responses we've received on Kansas City's Politics page. We also have a lot of historical information on Raytown's candidates. Click our election flag for more information.
Also, check out our newly posted article on Panic Policy Making from the Political Science Department of West Virginia University that discusses the concept of panic policy-making, including an overview of how we ended up with many of the laws here in the Kansas City area that are negatively impacted pets.
